So, as I’d mentioned before, PayPal can really mess you over. Especially if you’re a small business, you should avoid them.
Sorry for the downtime, I forgot to change a config setting. I just wanted to let my loyal reader know that I am blogging more of my techie stuff at canhas.biz – the little company thing that I do.
I’ll try to say some more personal stuff soon too.
Now I can blog from my phone. Still not one of the cool kids, though -I have no idea how to attach a photo.
I was reading this article about living on foods that only come from within 100 miles, as Vika prepares a lunch made from the local farmers market. Apparently doing it entirely is quite difficult. While I certainly accept that transport is a large portion of the energetic cost of many foods, particularly those shipped overland, I wonder about those foods that those of us lucky enough to live in or near port cities get via boat. As I understand it, boat transport is the most energetically efficient mode of transport known to man. Looking about, it appears that both rail and boat travel are more efficient, with the latter being much cheaper.
This doesn’t change much for this country, where the bulk of food shipping occurs via semi truck, but it seems clear that this is a fungible environmental impact.

Bergen is situated on seven mountains (perhaps the similarity to Rome is part of why I like it so much). Rolling fog makes everything kind of floaty. Pretty.

Exceptionally tasty. This was my first time eating king crab, and… wow. Can’t we please move to Bergen and go to its six-days-a-week fish market, like, twice a day? Please? [v]
