So being a bit of a fan of my newfound abillity to play music, I was stoked with Mr. Jobs’ announcement of a store - built in to iTunes, even.

So I went ahead and downloaded iTunes 4 (which of course wasn’t available via software update yet, despite the reminder after I downloaded).

Going to the store I started searching for the music I wanted. No squarepusher, amon tobin, einsturzende neubauten, kraftwerk, godspeed you black emperor, foetus. They did have an album of Disposable Heroes of Hipopracy, and some They Might be Giants.

So far, so so. Went ahead to buy the They Might be Giants album. Got all the way through to entering my ccard info; failed.

It’s failed on login, failed one page into giving my info, failed three pages into giving my info, failed to do anything when I pressed “buy”…

So my impression thus far: Great idea, except for the low selection and completely nonfunctional parts.

Update: now I can get all the way to the end of the process, but I always end up with an error occurred. Fuckity. Well, I’ll try tomorrow, I guess.
